Can they be used outside on concrete slab at door way entrance and along part of concrete apron following brickwork?
Hi Rod, Yes, absolutely! Our tiles are UV-stabilised, so they handle the Aussie sun perfectly without fading. Laying them on a concrete doorway or brickwork apron is a very popular setup.
The open-ribbed design is perfect for outside because rainwater drops right through, keeping the entrance dry and slip-resistant. You can just hose right over them to clean the concrete underneath.
One quick installation tip: Because they will be in direct sunlight, make sure to leave a 10mm expansion gap between the edge of the tiles and your brickwork. This gives them room to expand on hot days without buckling.
We also supply sloped edging ramps to give you a smooth, trip-free transition where the tiles meet the bare concrete. Let me know if you need a hand calculating your dimensions!
